Description

Our Rosé Pineau is made from Cognac and Merlot grapes with a well sugar/acidity balance.
After the Merlot harvest, we let the grapes macerate for 36 hours and we press slowly in a pneumatic press.
We let it decant for 12 hours and we add old Petite Champagne Cognac to the juice to prevent fermentation. We homogenise every 8 first days.
During the first winder, our Pineau Rosé is kept in stainless steel vats. Then, it is transferred to oak casks for ageing. After filtration, it is finally bottled.
Our Pineau des Charentes Rosé has a "prune flesh" colour and a nuts kernel scent. It is drunk cold, for aperitif (5-6°C). It goes very well with melon, nuts or red fruits based desserts (pies, fruit salad). Being slightly fruity, it goes perfectly with chocolate and chocolate cakes.
Like red wines, Pineau des Charentes Rosé contains polyphenols and tannins which can form a deposit in the bottle. This deposit does not reduce the quality of the product.
