Description
Cognac Fine Champagne is a 50-50 blend of Petite and Grand Champagne.
In order to elaborate our VSOP, we blend 50% Petite and 50% Grande Champagne (it is Fine Champagne), from our Arthenac and Lignières vineyards, respectively. Eaux-de-vie are kept in new oak casks during 6 to 8 months. This Cognac continues its ageing in older oak casks, protected from light.
Two years later, the first blendings are done in order to bring Cognac to 40% ABV. These blendings are made in three times, and each lasts around 2 to 3 years. Cognac is then filtered and bottled. Finally, VSOP Cognac has to be at least 4 years old.
Fine Champagne Cognac are quite rare, since it is necessary to have a vineyard in the two main Cognac crus.
This clear gold colour Cognac has fruity scents, both light and nervous.
Nice for cocktails and long drinks, it is also usable for cooking or for a hot toddy (grog). Our VSOP Cognac is nice on the rocks or dry, eventually with a cigar.
